Our family has been in the wood industry for generations -- starting with timber processing, then moving into woodworking machinery manufacturing. We grew up understanding that every material has a character, and the job is to work with it, not against it.

I spent 15 years in edge banding and flat lamination machinery -- selling, installing, and commissioning equipment across multiple countries and every type of furniture factory you can imagine. From small cabinet shops running one manual edge bander, to large-scale plants with fully automated lamination lines. I've calibrated the machines. I've diagnosed the failures. I've watched what happens when the wrong material meets the right equipment.

After many factory visits, one pattern became impossible to ignore: the biggest problem on the production floor was never the machine itself. It was the mismatch between the machine, the material, and the process.

Color deviation between the panel surface and the edge banding. Substrate quality that looked fine on the spec sheet but failed under pressure. Adhesive behavior that changed with temperature. Trimming defects that the material supplier blamed on the machine, and the machine supplier blamed on the material.

The factory was always caught in the middle.

I realized that no one was solving this from both sides. Machine suppliers sell machines. Material suppliers sell materials. Nobody was standing at the intersection -- understanding both the equipment and the material -- and taking responsibility for the result.
