Can you match wood grain finishes from Egger, Kronospan, or other board brands?
Yes -- wood grain is our most common custom request. We maintain a reference database of Egger, Kronospan, Pfleiderer, Formica, Rehau, and Cleaf decor codes. Send us the brand and series code (e.g., Egger H3309) or a physical board sample, and we will match both the color tone and surface texture. Synchronous emboss (pore texture aligned to the print) is available for wood grain finishes.
What references can I provide for color and finish matching?
We accept brand color codes, Pantone or RAL values, physical board or banding samples, and high-resolution photos or scans. For gloss, metallic, or sparkle finishes, a physical sample gives the best result since these finishes have visual properties that don't photograph accurately. If you only have a photo, describe the finish type and any brand references so we can cross-reference our database.
What is the MOQ and can I order multiple custom finishes together?
The minimum order is 3,000 meters per custom color or finish. You can order multiple custom finishes in a single shipment -- each at 3,000 m minimum, combined in one container. For stock colors, MOQ is as low as 1 roll (200 m). If your project requires several custom finishes, we can coordinate production schedules to ship them together.
How accurate is the color and finish match?
Our standard target is ΔE ≤ 1.0 measured under D65 illuminant -- imperceptible to the naked eye under normal viewing conditions. Every production batch ships with a spectrophotometer-verified ΔE report and Certificate of Analysis (COA). If any batch exceeds ΔE 1.5, we accept returns -- no questions asked. For gloss finishes, we also verify gloss level with a glossmeter. For textured finishes, we provide a physical approval sample before production begins.
What happens after I approve the sample?
Once you confirm the sample, we lock the formula and finish parameters in our system for consistent reorders. Production takes 15-25 days depending on finish type and quantity. We perform 100% batch inspection with AQL sampling before shipping. Your order ships with full documentation: ΔE test report, COA, material safety data sheets, and compliance certificates as applicable (ISO 9001, FSC, CARB P2, REACH, RoHS). We also provide recommended edgebander machine parameters for your specific finish. For reorders, lead time is typically shorter since the formula is already established.
